The Role

As Head Housekeeper, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the housekeeping department, ensuring the hotel’s bedrooms, public areas and guest facilities are maintained to an exceptional standard.

You will be a highly visible and hands-on leader, setting clear expectations, supporting your team and making sure attention to detail is never compromised. Your role will be vital in ensuring guests receive a consistently first-class experience from the moment they arrive.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Previous experience managing a housekeeping department, ideally within a quality or luxury hotel
A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
An excellent eye for detail and exceptionally high standards
A hands-on and proactive approach to housekeeping
The ability to remain calm and organised within a busy hotel environment
A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering an excellent guest experience
Strong communication and organisational skills
Experience of training, coaching and developing team members
A professional, positive and flexible approach
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the housekeeping team, ensuring consistently high standards throughout the hotel
Oversee the daily housekeeping operation, including bedrooms, public areas and guest spaces
Carry out regular room inspections and quality checks
Ensure all rooms are prepared to the highest standard in line with occupancy and guest requirements
Manage linen, housekeeping supplies and stock levels effectively
Identify and report maintenance issues, ensuring these are followed up promptly
Motivate the team and create a positive culture where standards and pride in work are central
Train, coach and develop team members to support their progression
Work closely with the wider hotel management team to ensure a seamless guest experience
The Opportunity

This is a full-time position working across 5 days per week, including weekends, as expected within a quality hotel environment.

Live-in accommodation is potentially available, subject to availability, with a monthly accommodation deduction.
