The Role of the Assistant General Manager:
As Assistant General Manager, you’ll play a key role in the leadership team, supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of a high-volume site. You’ll help drive performance, build a strong team culture, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the team through busy service periods, setting the tone on shift
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development
Maintain high standards across food quality, service, and compliance
Drive key operational KPIs including sales, labour, and cost control
Take ownership of shift performance and problem-solving
Build a positive, engaged, and high-performing team culture
About You:
Previous experience as an AGM or strong Deputy Manager in hospitality/QSR
Confident leading teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Strong operational and commercial awareness
Hands-on leadership style with a “lead from the front” approach
Passionate about people, service, and development
Calm, organised, and resilient under pressure
